Shailendra Sapra has been promoted to CEO of Aon Reinsurance Solutions in India, effective from 1 June.
Based in Mumbai, he will report to George Attard, CEO of Aon Reinsurance Solutions in Asia Pacific, and join the region’s reinsurance executive committee.
In his new role, Sapra will seek to identify and develop growth opportunities for (re)insurers presented by India’s rapidly developing insurance market.
This will involve working to close the country’s significant insurance protection gaps, supporting the development of new and existing lines, and innovation in solutions and services.
Sapra joined Aon’s reinsurance analytics team in 2010, having previously served in various senior and leadership positions.
