Dr Dirk Höring will succeed Claire McDonald as board member at HDI Global. He will take on the role of chief underwriting officer for the property, engineering and marine portfolios at HDI Risk Consulting.
Höring was the head of and responsible for 5,000 international programmes. Previously, he was divisional head for pricing, analytics and global portfolio steering.
Höring is also a member of the executive board of HDI Global Network AG, a globally operating reinsurer within HDI Global SE, where he is responsible for finance, reinsurance accounting, asset and liquidity management and risk management.
Before joining the Talanx Group, he worked as a consultant at McKinsey from 2007 to 2014.
The firm has also appointed Dr Barbara Klimaszewski-Blettner as global claims manager for Germany. At present, she is responsible for the German business as managing director.
Both Klimaszewski-Blettner and Höring will join the board of management of HDI Global SE, with effect from 1 April.
