Industrial insurer HDI Global SE Singapore (HDI) has entered the accident and health market in Asia. It has appointed Lisa Leow as underwriting manager for accident and health in Singapore.
She will report to both Graham Silton, managing director and principal officer at HDI, and Chris McDowell, HDI Global SE’s underwriting manager for accident and health Australia, based in Sydney.
Leow brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the role, joining HDI from Starr Insurance Companies where she was head of accident and health.
HDI Global currently offers property, casualty, engineering, marine cargo, power and energy and political and credit risk in Asia. The Singapore branch functions as a hub for the Southeast Asian market.
Silton comments: “ With [Lisa’s] proven track record and capabilities, she will be invaluable to the business as we enter the Asian accident and health market. I am looking forward to working with Lisa as we expand our product offering to our clients and brokers across the region.”
