Munich Re Specialty has appointed David Cabral as a green solutions consultant.
In his new role, Cabral will support the Munich Re Specialty Group green solutions team in construction and operational risks for renewable energy.
The team focuses on product and performance guarantees for green technologies, carbon and environmental commodity markets, and blended finance and risk advisory for the low carbon economy.
Cabral brings more than 40 years of (re)insurance experience with a specialism in ESG transition risks.
He joins Munich Re Specialty from Parhelion Underwriting, where he was most recently a strategic advisor, focusing on climate finance and closing the protection gap.
Prior to that, he was a non-executive director and ESG capital and (re)insurance advisor for Hong Kong-based start up Thames Investment.
