Francis S. Savari has been appointed as CEO of UIB Asia Reinsurance Brokers Pte (UIB Singapore).
Savari will replace Hiroki Miyamoto, who is stepping down from the role after five years.
Miyamoto has been appointed as director by United Insurance Brokers Ltd (UIBL) and will move to London.
Savari has more than 30 years of industry experience. He was most recently deputy CEO of Singapore Re and has held other senior roles at Marsh Management Services, Munich Re and PartnerRe. His experience covers different aspects of the sector including captive management, risk financing and risk consulting.
Commenting on the appointments, Tim Church, CEO UIB International Ltd, says: “We are delighted that Francis will join the UIB Group, heading up UIB Asia and leading it through its next stage, supported by the UIB Group and UIB International management team and we look forward to great success under his leadership.”
He adds: “We are also grateful to Hiroki for his efforts over the past five years and for extending his stay beyond the originally agreed period to help the company, and the group during the transition.”
