BMS Re has appointed Russell McGuire as head of origination. He will sit on the firm’s executive committee.
Based in New York, McGuire will report to BMS Re’s CEO, Pete Chandler.
In his new role, McGuire will lead a team dedicated to identifying and establishing new client relationships, both in the US and globally.
McGuire has nearly 30 years of industry experience.
He joins BMS Re following an 18-year tenure at Swiss Re. During that time, he rose to the position of managing director and client executive at Swiss Re’s Globals Business Practice.
At Swiss Re, McGuire’s responsibilities included managing relationships with some of the company’s largest client partners and driving talent management initiatives.
Commenting on McGuire’s appointment, CEO Chandler, says: “His extensive and unique experiences will be a huge asset as we continue to expand our reinsurance division.”
