Global reinsurance specialist Guy Carpenter, a subsidiary of Marsh McLennan, has appointed Vincenzo Cacica as CEO of Italy.
Based in Milan, he will report to Dorothée Mélis-Moutafis, interim CEO of Europe, and will be responsible for overseeing all broking activities across the country.
Cacica was previously managing director and head of treaty reinsurance at insurance broker Howden. Before that he was a managing director at Aon.
Guy Carpenter has allocated other key roles in Italy to increase its prominence in the region.
Corrado Jamnikar has been appointed as managing director of broking, and Francesco Altavilla will join the company as head of analytics next month.
Commenting on Cacia’s appointment, Mélis-Moutafis says: “Vincenzo’s appointment will bring outstanding leadership experience coupled with a deep understanding of the local market that will enable us to advance our client capabilities and build on our considerable success in the region.
“Guy Carpenter’s broking and analytics teams provide an expansive range of market-leading solutions and strategic advisory services to clients across Italy.”
