BHSI appoints Paul Emerson to lead customer and broker engagement Canada

BHSI has appointed Paul Emerson as head of customer and broker engagement in Canada. He will take on the role alongside his current responsibilities as senior vice president, head of third-party claims, Canada.

During his 20-year career, Emerson has served as an attorney specialising in liability defence litigation. Emerson joined BHSI in 2015 as vice president of liability claims.

Based in Toronto, Emerson will report to Robert Romeo, head of claims, North America. He will work closely with Lori Spoon, senior vice president customer and broker engagement, and the wider global team.

Spoon comments: “Leading our third-party claims team in Canada, Paul has worked closely with teams across our business and been pivotal in deploying our ‘claims is our product’ philosophy to strengthen our customer and broker relationships. This expanded role is a natural extension of this success.”
