Juan Carlos Gomez has been promoted to CEO of BMS Re, the specialty reinsurance arm of BMS Group, Latin America and Caribbean.
Based in Miami, Gomez will report to Nick Gillet, CEO BMS International.
Gomez brings more than 20 years of experience in underwriting and broking to the role.
He most recently served as executive vice-president of Latin America and the Caribbean at BMS Re, where he was responsible for coordinating product development and placing regional facultative reinsurance and specialty business.
Prior to joining BMS Re, Gomez held various executive positions, including deputy CEO of Carpenter Marsh FAC, CEO of Guy Carpenter Colombia and vice president at Generali Colombia.
