Ascot has appointed Mark Totolos to its newly created role of senior vice president, captive solutions, US.
Totolos joins Ascot from Skyward Specialty Insurance, where he served as senior vice president, head of captives and programmes.
At Ascot, Totolos will be a part of the portfolio group and will report to Tony Lyons, head of portfolio solutions. He will be responsible for setting the long-term strategy for the group’s new captive solutions portfolio.
Totolos has more than 15 years of experience in the specialty insurance industry. At Skyward, Totolos ensured that profitable growth and specialty solutions were provided.
Before working at Skyward, Tolotos worked as vice president underwriting at Houston International Group for more than four years. Prior to that, he worked at AIX Group, a subsidiary of Harleysville Insurance Company.
Commenting on his new role, Totolos says: “As companies continue to seek alternative risk transfer with increasing frequency, Ascot is committed to responding to the dynamic market by offering clients new capabilities that meet their evolving needs.”
