Cowbell, the provider of cyber insurance for SMEs, has appointed Simon Hughes as general manager to launch its UK operations.
Hughes has more than 13 years experience in the insurance industry, and an in-depth understanding of cyber risk and insurance. He is an underwriter, with experience across the US and the UK.
Prior to his appointment, Hughes served as the cyber team lead at CFC Underwriting, a UK-based specialty insurance company.
Before that, he worked for multinational re-insurer SOVAG and began his career at Lloyd’s of London, the insurance market.
