Industrial machinery manufacturing group Maire Tecnimont has appointed Carlo Cosimi as head of risk and insurance, based in Milan.
In the role, he is responsible for the group’s risk and opportunity operations. This includes the integrated management of enterprise risk management, project risk management and risk transfer services.
Cosimi has more than two decades of experience in the insurance industry, and joins Maire Tecnimont from engineering services from his role as head of corporate insurance and risk financing at engineering services firm Saipem. He has spent more than ten years with the group, previously serving as corporate vice president of insurance.
Cosimi has been executive chairman of the Italian Association of Risk Managers and Insurance Managers since 2021, and was a non-executive director on the board of mutual insurance association The Standard P&I Club.
