BDO has appointed Patrick Kramer as global CEO, succeeding Keith Farlinger, who has held the role for the past five years.
Kramer has served as BDO CEO in Canada and served on the company’s global board for seven years, overseeing the firm’s revenue growth.
Kramer has more than 30 years’ industry experience, with a series of leadership roles at BDO, focusing on culture and digital transformations. Alongside his time with the company, he has been an advisor for numerous Canadian businesses.
Commenting on his appointment, Kramer says: “In my new role, I will solidify what Keith has started, to protect and strengthen BDO. BDO is a people-driven organisation. We will continue to invest, with a global mindset, in global talent initiatives to create a learning and development culture.
“Diversity, equity and inclusion are hugely important to me. Important steps have been taken to have a more diverse workforce, but more will need to be done.”
Wayne Berson, chair of BDO’s global board, comments: “Owing to his previous international role, Pat has won great respect throughout BDO and was the unanimous choice of the global board. We wish Pat every success in his new role and thank Keith for his exemplary service these past years.”
