BMS Group (BMS) has appointed Alex Tesei as director of European energy reinsurance, effective October 2022. Based in London, he will report to James Chicken, managing director of energy.
The announcement comes as part of the company’s expansion of their specialty energy practice.
Tesei joins BMS from reinsurance broker K M Dastur, where he was head of facultative insurance. With more than 25 years of experience in the industry, he specialises in setting up and developing companies and departments and international expansion.
Chicken says: ‘We are delighted to welcome Alex and we look forward to leveraging his know-how and experience as well as contacts in European markets to expand and complement our global reach.
“European energy is a dominant issue of the moment from wholesale prices to critical geopolitical considerations and climate change, and today’s announcement shows that we continue [to support the] growth and the evolution of this market.”
