Udo Kappes, the head of property & casualty, financial lines, group employee programmes, reinsurance at Airbus Aeroassurances has announced he is leaving the company after a 21-year tenure.
Kappes most recently served as head of property & casualty, financial lines from January 2018 to September 2022.
He has also served at Airbus’ Group Insurance Risk Management as head of property and casualty, financial lines for group employee programmes and reinsurance.
Commenting on his departure via LinkedIn, Kappes says: "With a sad heart I left the Airbus Insurance Risk Management last week after more than 21 years. I felt sad as I left a great team with high motivation and a good spirit. During the last five years, I worked mainly in Toulouse and I could learn a lot from all my Airbus colleagues.
"On the other hand, I am very happy, as I am returning to Germany, taking over a new challenge in a very dynamic company, which is in a severe transformation process supporting the global efforts towards CO2 reduction. I am proud to support this company in its transformation process with best possible insurance solutions. More information to follow in early October!
