North Carolina Department of Insurance has appointed Michael Arcangel as chief captive analyst of the state’s Captive Insurance Division.
Arcangel has served at the North Carolina Department of Insurance for more than six years, most recently serving as supervising financial analyst for the division.
Prior to his tenure at the Department of Insurance, Arcangel was an auditor at the North Carolina Department of Commerce from 2012 to 2016. He also served at Liberty Healthcare Management in 2012.
Commenting on Arcangel’s appointment, North Carolina insurance commissioner Mike Causey says: “Michael has been a valuable member of the financial analysis team with a strong work ethic. I congratulate him on this well-deserved leadership promotion with the Captive Insurance Company Division.”
Arcangel adds: “I am very grateful for this opportunity. It is exciting to help lead our wonderful captive team and build on the success of the North Carolina Captive Insurance Programme.”
