Cyber insurance provider Cowbell has appointed Matthew Jones and Sean Park to its leadership team.
Jones will serve as chief strategy officer, after a year as a Cowbell board member. Jones’ appointment at Cowbell follows a five-year tenure as managing director of financial services platform Anthemis. Prior to this, he worked for Swiss Re in both London and Zurich.
Sean Park, co-founder and co-chief information officer of Anthemis Group, will join Cowbell’s board of directors. He has invested in and advised a number of startups, and is currently non-executive director for a variety of insurance and technology companies including Maxwell, Kindur, and Tremor Technologies.
Jones and Park’s appointments follow a series of recent developments at Cowbell, including a cyber insurance coverage partnership with Swiss Re earlier this year.
Commenting on the appointments, Jack Kudale, founder and CEO of Cowbell, says: “Matthew Jones and Sean Park are both accomplished executives with deep experience shepherding complex insurance operations. As more organisations turn to cyber insurance to protect against increasing risk, their expertise will ensure that Cowbell remains at the forefront of innovation and continues to provide the most accurate insurance coverages to best support our policyholders.”
Park adds: “I am delighted with the strategic potential Cowbell has in the cyber insurance market. I believe Cowbell is revolutionising cyber insurance using data, and am honoured to become part of this endeavor. I look forward to working with the board and the leadership team at Cowbell.”
