Arch Insurance International has appointed Krista Bonneau to chief reinsurance and exposure officer, based in London and reporting to president and CEO Hugh Sturgess.
As part of Arch Capital Group, Arch Insurance International offers treaty and facultative property and casualty reinsurance, including property catastrophe, liability, marine, agriculture, and other specialty lines of coverage.
Arch Capital Group specialises in the structure and management of alternative market risk financing solutions, including captive programmes and third-party capital such as catastrophe bonds, collateralised vehicles and insurance-linked securities.
In her new role, Bonneau will assume responsibility for the development and management of ceded reinsurance and exposure management functions across Arch Insurance International's portfolio.
Having joined Arch Insurance Company in 2010, Bonneau most recently served as senior vice president of ceded reinsurance. Before that, she held the positions of ceded reinsurance manager and senior reinsurance analyst.
Commenting on the promotion, Sturgess says: “Our reinsurance procurement strategy has been a fundamental part of our strong growth in recent years. As part of our senior management team, Krista has led the development of that strategy. This promotion also recognises Krista’s contribution to our team and to our future in a dynamic and evolving marketplace.”
Bonneau adds: “I am excited to be taking on this combined role, both to develop synergies between reinsurance and exposure management and to support Arch Insurance International’s goals for growth in the London Market and beyond.
“Our aim will be to ensure we maintain a balanced strategy which closely aligns with our overarching business objectives and helps facilitate our continued success.”
