Canopius Group has appointed Lindsay Astor as head of strategic development, as well as the newly-created role of chief of staff.
In her new role at the global specialty reinsurer, Astor will be responsible for leading the coordination and execution of strategic initiatives.
Reporting to deputy CEO Neil Robertson, Astor will also join Canopius’ executive committee and serve as strategic business partner to other leadership teams across the group.
Astor previously served as head of underwriting management, UK and Lloyd’s at AXA XL, where she was responsible for leading a team of business managers and overseeing the management of underwriting governance and controls for legal entities.
