Appleby has appointed Brad Adderley as office managing partner in Bermuda, effective 1 January 2022.
He succeeds Tim Faries, who completed two terms in the role and will continue at the offshore law firm as CEO of Appleby Global Services (AGS).
In his new position, Adderley will also lead both the corporate practice in Bermuda, and the global insurance and reinsurance sector.
Adderley has considerable experience in the reinsurance market, specialising in insurance-linked securities and alternative collateralised reinsurance investment transactions, including catastrophe bonds, special purpose insurers and legacy sidecars.
Faries comments: “With the increasing growth of our AGS business, it is time to pass the leadership and daily operations of the Bermuda office to my very worthy colleague Brad who I know will infuse the business with the enthusiasm, dedication and high standards he is known for.”
