Deloitte has promoted Gurpreet Johal as UK and global sector leader for global reinsurance and London market.
Johal joined Deloitte in 1995 and has worked extensively in advising some of the firm’s most significant global insurance clients.
Most recently, Johal worked as Deloitte’s global artificial intelligence (AI) financial services leader.
Andy Masters, UK insurance leader at Deloitte says global reinsurance and the London markets “are highly sophisticated segments that we believe are on the cusp of significant change”.
“Gurpreet Johal’ is one of our most experienced and respected insurance partners with a deep understanding of this sector and I am delighted he will be taking the lead role in the UK and beyond,” Masters adds.
Johal notes: “This announcement marks the increased focus that Deloitte is placing on servicing this specific sector of the reinsurance industry. It is a very exciting sector of the market which is going through a period of major change, investment and innovation.”
