Generali Global Corporate and Commercial (GC&C) appointed Zaid Alami as head of financial lines underwriting Asia.
Based in the regional hub in Hong Kong, Zaid is responsible for leading the financial lines business across the region.
Alami brings with him nearly a decade of underwriting experience, particularly in
financial lines and liability.
Before joining Generali GC&C Asia, he was the assistant vice-president at Liberty Specialty Markets Middle East and North Africa (MENA), heading up financial lines and responsible for the portfolio across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa.
Axel Roesner, head of Generali GC&C commercial Asia, said: “We are delighted to welcome Zaid Alami to our team, taking over the Head of Financial lines position from Brendan McDonald who was recently promoted to head of underwriting Asia.”
