Aon has named Sam Sylvester as a senior property broker in the UK and Ireland and specialty casualty team of reinsurance solutions.
Reporting to Catherine Turner, head of UK property for reinsurance solutions, Sylvester brings almost 20 years of experience in property reinsurance to the role, both in broking and underwriting.
Most recently, he was head of property treaty and direct and facultative at Vibe Syndicate. In addition, he has previously held roles at Markel International and Guy Carpenter.
Commenting on Sylvester’s appointment, Turner said: “Sam Sylvester brings a great skill set in underwriting and pricing expertise across many territories. He is highly respected and widely recognised across our client base, and is a terrific addition to our team.”
Recently, Aon launched a new platform that will match insurance underwriting expertise with capacity provision through fronting, managing general agent/managing general underwriter and captive solutions.
