Carey Olsen Bermuda has added Gavin Woods to its corporate practice.
Currently a partner in Appleby’s corporate office, Woods has more than eight years of experience in the Bermuda market.
Woods is a specialist in corporate financing, corporate structuring and insurance regulatory matters with particular experience in the incorporation and licensing of reinsurance companies, listings on the Bermuda Stock Exchange and alternative risk financing vehicles, such as catastrophe bonds insurance-linked securities.
He will join once his notice period with Appleby expires.
Woods’ appointment is further evidence of Carey Olsen Bermuda strengthening its corporate offering following the appointments of Mary Ward and Adam Bathgate earlier this year.
Carey Olsen Bermuda’s managing partner, Michael Hanson, said the firm was “very excited” about the addition of Woods.
