Marsh appoints Durant as captive management leader

Marsh has named Nick Durant as the new global captive solutions practice leader, effective 1 July.

Durant will be based in New York and report to John Drzik, president of Marsh’s global risk and specialties division. His succeeds Chris Lay, who has been named president and CEO of Marsh Canada.

In his new role, Durant brings 20 years of reinsurance and analytics experience, having most recently served as Marsh’s global analytics sales leader.

Drzik said: “Strategic advice and capital-based solutions have never been more critical for our captive clients. I am confident that Durant’s leadership will help us build on our current growth momentum and accelerate our innovation of new solutions.”
