Susan Donegan, commissioner of the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation, will step down from her position, it has been confirmed.
Donegan will continue in her role until 30 June. Her departure is likely linked to governor Peter Shumlin not seeking a fourth term.
A permanent replacement for Donegan has not been lined up, but the appointment of an acting commissioner is likely in the interim.
Donegan, an attorney who has broad knowledge of financial services regulation, has served as commissioner since 2013.
