International General Insurance Holdings (IGIH) has announced it has appointed Simon Curtis as CFO at its IGI UK business in London as part of moves to grow the UK operation.
Curtis has more than 20 years of experience in accountancy and insurance, most recently at AmTrust at Lloyd’s, where he was interim head of finance.
He has worked previously at Ernst & Young, Atrium Underwriting, and Insurance Management Services. Subject to regulatory approval, Curtis will also join the board of IGI UK.
“I am pleased to welcome [Curtis] to the team and look forward to him playing an important role as our UK business continues to grow,” said Andreas Loucaides, CEO of IGI UK.
In June 2015, Standard & Poor’s assigned IGI UK an “A-” financial strength rating and affirmed the “A-” long-term counter-party credit and insurer strength rating of its Bermuda-based parent, International General Insurance Company (IGI Bermuda). It also assigned a stable outlook on both companies.
