The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) has officially opened registration for its 40th annual conference, scheduled to take place from 11 to 13 August at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Burlington, Vermont.
The event is expected to draw around 1,100 captive professionals from across the US and internationally.
The conference will offer 31 educational sessions covering topics such as climate risk, AI, social inflation and M&A, alongside networking and business development opportunities.
Delegates will also have access to 75 exhibitors and Vermont’s regulatory team, with opportunities to meet industry peers during lunches, receptions and at the exhibition hall.
Captive owners will have access to a peer forum, a dedicated lunch and a tour of Beta Technologies, a company focused on electric aircraft.
A 40th anniversary gala, exhibitor reception and off-site event at Hotel Vermont will round out the three-day programme.
Kevin Mead, president of VCIA, says the conference remains the leading destination for professionals at all stages of their captive careers.
“The captive industry continues to see unprecedented growth, and as we celebrate our 40th anniversary, our conference remains the premier destination for professionals looking to expand their knowledge and networks,” he adds.
Conference chair Ryan Gadapee says: “For our 40th anniversary, we have elevated every aspect of the experience — from expanded educational offerings to exclusive networking opportunities.
“The VCIA conference continues to be where meaningful connections happen and where the future of the captive industry takes shape."
