Risk Strategies has acquired GMC Advisors, a Houston-based specialist in commercial lines insurance for the construction, manufacturing, and energy sectors.
Founded in 2003 by Greg Chubon, GMC Advisors provides insurance services to middle-market companies in specific industries.

The acquisition follows a series of moves by Risk Strategies to expand its presence in the West Region. Previous acquisitions include McLaughlin Brunson Insurance Agency in 2016, Transport Risk Management in 2020, Fournier Group in 2021, and Burke Insurance Group in 2022.
