MGA Origin Specialty has formed Origin Captive Solutions, providing a wide range of risk management options for middle-market companies.
The new division, in partnership with Origin Specialty’s sister company GPW and Associates, brings together a multi-disciplinary team of underwriters, actuaries, accountants, and captive experts to offer full-service captive formation and execution.
Daniel Rossen, head of commercial P&C underwriting at Origin Specialty, will serve as managing director of Origin Captive Solutions.
The initial focus will be on property solutions fronted by AM Best-rated paper, enabling captives to assume risk while meeting lender requirements.
Rossen states: "There are many customers willing to retain risk in their property programmes but are limited by lender requirements. We are excited to use Origin Captive Solutions to enable these clients to take risks rather than trading dollars with an insurance carrier."
