MAXIS GBN launches health educational initiative with Maven Clinic

MAXIS Global Benefits Network (GBN) has launched a new educational toolkit in partnership with Maven Clinic, a virtual health platform for women’s and family health.

The toolkit is designed to help companies educate their employees about the impacts of menopause and how to support those experiencing midlife health challenges.

This initiative, available to MAXIS GBN’s multinational clients, coincides with the start of Menopause Awareness Month, ahead of World Menopause Day on 18 October.

Drawing from Maven Clinic’s expertise, the toolkit includes five weeks of materials and a facilitator’s guide, making it simple for multinationals to run the educational campaign.

The content covers topics such as demystifying menopause, being an ally, managing physical symptoms, caring for mental health, and continuing the conversation.

Leena Johns, chief health and wellness officer at MAXIS GBN, emphasises: “As diversity, equity and inclusion values continue to rise up the corporate agenda, it is vital that multinational employers are well-equipped to really care for their people at all stages of life.”

She also highlights the need to support people experiencing menopause symptoms and create workplace inclusivity by guiding colleagues to become allies.

Will Porteous, chief growth officer at Maven, says: “With one in five members of the workforce impacted by menopause, the global community of women going through this journey is among the fastest growing cohorts in the workplace but remains the least supported and least understood.

“We are proud to work hand in hand with MAXIS GBN to equip best-in-class multinationals with resources that provide education and foster more supportive, age-inclusive and high-performing workplaces.”
