Wilbraham & Monson Academy (WMA) has joined edHEALTH, a healthcare programme that is part of edRISK, a Vermont-domiciled sponsored captive.
WMA is an independent, college-preparatory, coeducational middle and upper school for approximately 400 boarding and day students in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. It looks to join edHEALTH for savings and a better healthcare experience for their faculty and staff.
Tracy Hassett, president and CEO at edHEALTH, says: “Wilbraham & Monson Academy is our third new edHEALTH member-owner this year.
“Adding another secondary school clearly demonstrates the value we can bring to a wide range of educational institutions.”
Patricia Gallagher, chief financial officer at WMA, notes: “When I came on board last July and learned of our healthcare needs, I immediately thought of edHEALTH.
“I previously worked at a founding member school and kept track of edHEALTH’s growth through the years. When I saw edHEALTH was growing in the secondary school space, I knew that WMA would fit well within their member-owned collaborative model.”
Hassett adds: “[Patty Gallagher’s] comprehensive financial knowledge in higher education and secondary schools will be advantageous in moving the captive forward. We are so fortunate to have her back on the team.”
