Ascot group has established global parametric capabilities to offer (re)insurance coverage for a wide range of property exposures.
Ascot’s chief underwriting officer Mark Pepper leads the initiative, with the support of the London property underwriting team.
The new parametric solutions, available across perils and a range of industries, are designed to help protect clients against the occurrence of a specific and trigger-based event.
Commenting on the project, Pepper says: “We recognise that today’s natural catastrophe clients are increasingly looking for new and flexible coverage offerings to help reduce protection gaps, support resiliency plans and manage volatility in their businesses.
“Alternative solutions like parametric products enable them to access coverage for risks that may not be optimal for the traditional property market.”
Ascot provides (re)insurance solutions globally through its Lloyd's and Bermuda platforms, and in the US via the Ascot US and Ethos platforms.
