The Connecticut Captive Forum 2024 has revealed Andrew Mais, Connecticut insurance commissioner and president of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, as its keynote speaker.
The conference is set to take place on 16 April at Mohegan Sun resort in Connecticut.
The event aims to bring together industry leaders, regulators, captive managers and service providers for discussions, followed by a networking event and cocktail party.
The agenda will cover topics including coverage gaps, group captives, tax planning, leveraging insurtechs and MGAs, medical services solutions, Connecticut's captive laws, and innovative risk management strategies.
Connecticut, which licensed its first captive in 2012, has seen growth in its captive count in recent years.
At the end of 2023, the state registered 53 captives, up from 45 in 2022 and just 16 in 2019.
