The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) is to host its annual captive taxation webinar on 12 December. Registration for the event is now live.
The webinar is eligible for professional credit, 1 ACE CE and 1 ICCIE Teleconference Credit.
Captive tax specialists will review current tax issues through a case study examining a multinational organisation’s considerations when proposing to form a captive domiciled in Vermont.
The session will also review the federal tax building blocks required for captive insurance company tax treatment and expand to include a worldwide organisation.
Highlights will include an overview of state and federal tax considerations of insuring US risks, as well as the implications for international operations and structure.
The association has announced a new feature — an open forum which will allow attendees to ask questions to the panellists.
Moderators will include Kevin Mead, president of the VCIA, Dan Kusaila, partner at Crowe LLP, Charles Lavelle, partner at Dentons Bingham Greenebaum LLP, and content advisor Dana Marino of Innovative Captive Strategies.
