Patriot Growth Insurance Services has acquired The Dougherty Company.
Based in California, and founded by Gordon Dougherty in 1933, Dougherty is a full-service insurance agency focused on captive insurance, personal, business and marine solutions. It is licensed in 29 US states.
Established in 2019, Patriot is a national insurance services firm that partners with employee benefits and property and casualty agencies across the US.
Patriot has more than 1650 employees operating in 125 locations across 24 states.
Craig Dougherty, president of Dougherty, says: “We are looking forward to providing our clients with the richer resources and services available as a partner in a privately-held national firm. Our agents, account managers, and support staff will remain the same and we will continue to operate from our current location in Signal Hill.”
