The North Carolina Captive Insurance Association (NCCIA) has appointed Oscarlyn Elder (pictured) as keynote speaker for its annual conference.
The conference, which is due to take place on 7 May 2023 at the Renaissance Hotel in Asheville, North Carolina, is the largest captive conference in the Southeast, and fourth largest US domicile.
It is expected to draw more than 200 attendees from across the US.
Elder co-leads Truist Investment Advisory Group which is responsible for allocating investment capital to meet clients’ financial goals as well as addressing how emerging investment innovations should be reflected in their portfolios.
Since joining the captive industry in 2002, Oscarlyn Elder has focused on investment and wealth management with a current focus on ultra-high net worth clients.
Commenting on the news, Thomas Adams, NCCIA president and CEO, says “Given the volatility in the market, the climb in interest rates and worries about the US economy, we are extremely pleased that Oscarlyn has accepted our invitation to keynote this year's conference. She is a perfect fit for the times and the financial orientation of our conference attendees.
“There are several panel sessions that will focus on current investment issues and preparations on how captives can respond to current economic challenges. We look forward to hearing from Ms. Elder during our opening session.”
