VCIA: Captives provide ‘unique idea’ for retaining captive talent

Captives can provide a “unique idea” for retaining captive industry talent, according to Anne Marie Towle of Marsh and Dan Kusaila of Crowe.

Both Towle and Kusaila explained how using a captive could draw in a new generation of employees and also retain existing talent.

The panel explained that retaining talent in any organisation can be challenging, but one unique idea is offering benefits tailored for employees and their lifestyle, covered through a captive.

Towle and Kusaila explained that coverages that could be offered to an employee through a captive include cell phone, home warranties, trip insurance and pet insurance, among others.

However, it’s not just for the younger generation, Towle suggested a captive could cover other benefits to suit the older generation, such as travel insurance.
