VCIA: Industry stalwarts recognised in awards
Stephanie Mapes, Michael Bemi and Dennis Silvia were presented VCIA industry awards by Richard Smith, president of the Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) during the VCIA Conference keynote session.
Mapes, president of Paul Frank + Collins was given the industry service award, while Bemi, CEO of the National Catholic Risk Retention Group was presented the honorary member award. Finally, Cedar Consulting president Silvia was given the ‘captive crusader’ award.
The session also recognised recent and upcoming captive industry retirements. These included Dennis Harwick, president of the Captive Insurance Companies Association, and COO of USA Risk Group Andrew Sargeant.
