Redion launches its direct cross-border employee benefits solutions business, establishing a direct insurance model to write cross-border group life and disability schemes through Assicurazioni Generali, Luxembourg Branch.
The business complements Redion Employee Benefits' established strengths in multinational pooling, captive reinsurance and local market expertise, extending its existing global network model into direct cross-border insurance. It strengthens the group's ability to support multinational employers with expat and mobile employees across the pan-European area.
Assicurazioni Generali, Luxembourg Branch acts as the insurance carrier for the solution, supported by the Generali Group balance sheet and a dedicated servicing team. The cross-border business is set to become effective from 1 January 2027, with regulatory notification and approval steps currently underway.
Antoine Parisi, chief executive officer of Redion Group, says: "This is an important step towards our vision to be the world's premier care partner."
Wendy Liu, chief executive officer of global benefits and partnerships at Redion, says: "Cross-Border Solutions is a strategic step in our ambition to grow a stronger employee benefits value proposition. It connects multinational employers with the right insurance capabilities through a governance model they can trust. By bringing cross-border insurance into our offering, we can deliver a better proposition for clients and strengthen the connection with our global employee benefits network."
Ludovic Bayard, chief executive officer of Redion Employee Benefits, says: "Cross-Border Solutions reflects our belief that customer focus, contractual simplicity and operational excellence must go hand in hand. We are building the right product framework to support our clients and their employees, creating a stronger platform for the future."
