Guy Carpenter is uniting its UK property and casualty and London Europe teams under a single leadership structure, effective 1 January 2027, in a move it says will give clients more seamless access to broking, claims, analytics, and advisory expertise across Europe.
The reinsurance specialist, a business of Marsh, appoints Leon Janeke to lead the combined team. Janeke previously led the London Europe team for three years. In his expanded role he reports to Paul Moody, UK CEO, and Julian Enoizi, Europe CEO, at Guy Carpenter.
Dean Jenner is appointed chairman of the combined team. Jenner, who has 41 years of industry experience and six years at Guy Carpenter, was instrumental in establishing the firm’s position in UK property and will focus on developing the talent pipeline, resolving complex client challenges, and identifying emerging growth opportunities. Jenner reports to Moody.
Moody said: “By combining these teams under Leon’s leadership and Dean’s strategic guidance, we’re creating something more powerful: a UK Property and Casualty and London Europe team that brings together deep market expertise, integrated client capabilities, and a clear growth agenda. This positions Guy Carpenter to compete more effectively, serve clients more comprehensively, and accelerate our market expansion in property, specialty, and emerging risk areas.”
Enoizi added: “London is a critical hub for our European franchise. Bringing together our UK Property and Casualty and London Europe teams creates a centre of expertise and client relationships that strengthens our competitive position across the continent, particularly benefitting our European based global clients. This is a strategic investment in our future, and Leon’s proven track record gives us confidence in the team’s trajectory.”
