Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) Germany is celebrating its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of growth and technical expansion within the German and European corporate sectors.
The milestone follows a strong business performance in 2025, where the unit reached €224 million in gross written premiums while maintaining a combined ratio below 93 per cent.
The division now manages more than 500 multinational insurance programmes, including over 170 placements as a lead carrier.
Established in 2016 within Generali Deutschland AG, the unit was created to serve the corporate segment with a specialised, technically driven underwriting model. Under the leadership of Hans-Peter Klebe, head of GC&C Germany, the team has grown to approximately 100 employees with dedicated capabilities in property, casualty, financial lines and engineering.
In recent years, the company has accelerated its digital and technical transformation, introducing advanced pricing tools and automated underwriting for mid-market clients.
The unit’s alternative risk transfer (ART) offering, which includes captive solutions, remains a key pillar of its strategy to support clients in a complex risk environment. Within the wider Generali Group, GC&C acts as a centre of excellence for parametric insurance, which represents one of the three pillars of its ART offering alongside captive and capital solutions.
