The International Centre for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE), in partnership with the Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA), has raised close to US$60,000 in annual fundraising during last month’s VCIA Conference.
The fund will be used to further develop ICCIE’s captive educational offerings and helps solidify the organisation’s standing for the future as the captive industry continues to rapidly grow and more professionals seek captive career development, according to the ICCIE.
Mitch Cantor, executive director at the ICCIE, remarks: “Usually, we anticipate about US$10,000 coming in from our annual reception sponsorships. Due to the milestone of our 20th anniversary and the high visibility of the VCIA Conference, we netted 500 per cent more fundraising this year. A far better outcome than any of us could have imagined.”
VCIA CEO Kevin Mead offers his congratulations, stating: “We, like mostly all captive trade associations and domiciles, are seriously invested in the success and sustainability of ICCIE. And for us it’s that much more personal — since VCIA conceived, designed, and implemented this outstanding educational program all the way back in 2000.”
In another fundraising initiative, ICCE returns with the ‘All Captive Conference Ticket Raffle’, where the winner will get free admission to 17 captive and industry conferences. The drawing will be held on 12 December 2024.
