BMS strengthens its Finpro division with three key hires

BMS has added Tom Spraggs, Richard Austwick and Tom Woolcott to its financial and professional risks division.

The new hires will join BMS from Howden’s financial institutions team, after fulfilling their contractual obligations.

Based in London, the trio will report directly to Drew Harvey, the director of Finpro at BMS, focusing on providing tailored solutions in the segment to clients.

Spraggs, specialised in asset management and insurance solutions, will take on the role of director and head of UK financial institutions at BMS.

Austwick joins as divisional director, bringing a decade of experience in advising clients in the financial services sector.

Woolcott joins the team as a broker, with a background in managing diverse client portfolios across the UK and Europe, from investment managers and funds to private equity and venture capital entities.

Commenting on the new appointments, Harvey states: “By strengthening our offering with the experience and talent of these hires, we are not only enhancing the service we provide but also contributing significantly to our ability to stay ahead in an evolving marketplace.”

Ian Gormley, UK CEO of BMS, adds: “We are now actively looking for exceptional talent across this sector of the market including financial institutions, directors and officers, professional liability and cyber.

“We believe we can offer expert brokers the opportunity to build something new and exciting.”

BMS has more than 40 years of expertise in providing customised insurance solutions across wholesale, reinsurance, direct insurance and capital advisory.
