CAC Specialty has hired Jeffrey Samuels, an expert in cannabis, emerging markets and venture startups, as senior vice president.
CAC Specialty has specifically appointed Samuels to advance its cannabis-related risk services and in response to the growth of the holistic wellness sector and heightened client demand for specialised insurance products.
Samuels brings more than 15 years of experience in cannabis, insurtech and other high-growth industries to the role. He has held key positions at many cannabis start-ups, including Founder Shield, AlphaRoot, Embroker and HillviewMed.
Most recently, Samuels was a founding member at cannabis-focused insurtech, Frontier Risk, where he helped develop insurance products.
