Alternative risk and insurance manager Artex Risk Solutions (Artex) has appointed Joni Steffen as client services director of its Cayman office.
Based in the Cayman Islands, Steffen will be responsible for overseeing Artex’s client relationships, initiatives and managing the client services team in the region.
She will report to Suzanne Sadlier, Artex’s managing director of the Cayman Islands.
Steffen has more than 17 years of financial services experience. She has experience across several industries including group captives, managing general agent and fronted reinsurers, long-term annuity, healthcare, legacy run-off solutions, casualty pooling, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and transportation.
Prior to joining Artex, Steffen was senior vice president for global risk management at Aon. She also served as an audit manager for international assurance, tax and advisory firm Grant Thorton.
Steffen has experience of private equity, hedge funds, derivatives and specialty finance lending.
