Arthur J. Gallagher & Co has acquired Leavitt Insurance Services of Los Angeles (Leavitt).
Leavitt offers commercial property and casualty insurance, as well as employee benefits consulting to clients in the Southwest US.
Kenneth Blaich, Leavitt’s co-founder and senior vice president, and Teri Frankell, the company’s managing principal and employee benefits consultant, will remain in Los Angeles. As will the Leavitt team.
Leavitt will be managed by Scott Firestone, head of Gallagher’s Southwest region retail property and casualty brokerage operations, and Charlie Isaacs, head of Gallagher’s West region benefits consulting operations.
Commenting on the mandate, J. Patrick Gallagher, president and CEO, says: “Leavitt is a highly-regarded agency whose culture aligns with ours, and their expertise across a variety of niches will strengthen our capabilities in the region."
