Alliant Insurance Services (Alliant) has appointed Pete Kranz as a senior vice president at Alliant Specialty.
Based in Vermont, Kranz will lead the company’s risk finance and strategic consulting solutions division. The team will be responsible for evaluating and quantifying clients’ risk tolerance and finding risk retention and risk transfer structures that suit them.
Kranz joins Alliant from Brown & Brown Insurance, where he served as executive managing director and captive practice leader. He has more than 15 years of experience in the captive insurance industry, preceded by 10 years in public accounting.
Announcing his appointment via LinkedIn, Kranz says: “I am excited about joining Alliant to focus on risk financing and strategic solutions. I will be focusing on where my passion is — bringing, and developing, creative solutions for businesses that need and deserve a new way of thinking about risk financing.”
Michael Cusack, executive vice president of Alliant Specialty, comments: “In recent years, we have seen more clients explore and ultimately use some sort of alternative risk financing. Pete’s knowledge and experience in this area allow us to provide a more robust offering for our clients.”
