EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants has made several appointments to the business development team for employee benefits to support its regional expansion in the northeast US.
EPIC is a risk management and employee benefits insurance brokerage and consulting firm, providing global benefits solutions, pharmacy solutions, voluntary benefits, and wellness and health management.
Based in Pennsylvania, Pamela Barbush, Brian Floyd, David Schlosberg and John Shingara all join the firm as principals, where they will be responsible for business development in EPIC’s employee benefits offering, as well as property and casualty lines.
With more than 40 years’ experience in single-parent and group captives, Barbush has spent the past 22 years exclusively specialising in captive insurance for mid to large commercial clients in the construction industry.
Schlosberg has a background in business development, most recently as vice president at independent brokerage firm Gunn-Mowery, where he was responsible for managing carrier-partner relationships, overseeing staff, and developing new client relationships.
Floyd has experience in employee benefits consulting, specialising in mid and large group markets, as well as self-funded healthcare consortiums.
A certified employee benefits specialist with experience in captives, self-insurance and other risk financing techniques, Shingara most recently served as employee benefits executive consultant at McConkey Insurance and Benefits.
Commenting on the appointments, Len Scioscia, northeast region president at EPIC, says: “We are pleased to welcome Pamela, Brian, David and John to EPIC in their new roles. The team, to be based near Harrisburg in central Pennsylvania, will contribute to our buildout in Pennsylvania. We currently have a Pittsburgh office and are excited to expand further across the state.”
