WRCIC unveils 2022 conference programme

The Western Region Captive Insurance Conference (WRCIC) has announced the speaker lineup for the 2022 event, which will be held on 27-29 June at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada.

WRCIC is a limited liability corporation consisting of the state captive insurance associations for Arizona, Missouri, Nevada and Utah.

This year’s conference speaker lineup ranges across government and association officials, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and industry visionaries, while scheduled sessions encompass pooling, claims management, tax updates, the “new normal”, and other hot topics in the captive industry.

WRCIC notes that the majority of sessions are eligible for International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) credits, emphasising the value of conference attendance.

ICCIE has also scheduled a live broadcast during the 2022 conference to enable remote attendees from around the world to attend the live session for credits.

The sponsoring state associations will each hold their association meetings during the conference, which attendees are invited to attend, learn and potentially join as a member.

In addition, WRCIC has revealed more networking time and unique events, including a tournament at Bali Hai Golf Club and a “Minus 5” ice experience.

Conference chair Renea Louie comments: “The regional concept provides for many domiciles to come together annually and provide an efficient, broad and effective conference, robust with regulators and diverse domicile topics. The regional approach also builds larger synergies between neighbouring regulators, providers and others.

“This year I am particularly proud of the committee and their sophistication to take WRCIC to the next level. They have worked extremely hard this year and we have expanded the sessions, topics, tracks and events to meet the expectations of the members and guests.”
